Product Introduction
Phenolic grating produced by Mach’s is manufactured in molds with various mesh thicknesses and panel sizes. The walking surface can be treated with natural concave anti-skid surface, or angular quartz can be added to provide excellent anti-skid performance. Phenolic gratings are the most effective way to achieve maximum fire resistance, low smoke and toxic smoke emissions, ablative and low coke yield. Phenolic gratings are used in high fire hazard areas where special loads are required and where large uninterrupted spans need to be bridged.
One of our growing product lines is our phenolic fiberglass grating. Available in two forms — molded and pultruded — we offer many standard dimensions, including 24”, 36”, 40” and 48” widths and a variety of lengths.

Phenolic gratings are the latest and most effective way to achieve maximum fire resistance, low smoke and toxic smoke emissions, ablation and low coke production. Its non-flammability enables it to withstand direct flames for a long time without causing serious structural damage. Fire resistance test data can be provided upon request. Phenolic fire gratings provide maximum fire protection, especially in work areas such as oil drilling platforms, underground tunnels, railway subways, oil refineries, ship decks and ship lifeboat passage gangways.
Phenolic GRP/FRP Gratingphenolic fiberglass price
Phenolic GRP/FRP gratings are produced by heating dyes to “pull” phenolic resins and pure glass fiber bundles, pads and veil matrices to produce “I” or “T” bars of various profiles, thicknesses and depths. The “I” or “T” section bars are then converted into phenolic GRP/FRP grids by connecting the bars together and using solid bars equidistant between the “I” or “T” section bars. Phenolic GRP/FRP gratings are available at 25mm, 38mm, 50mm, 60mm, 75mm and 100mm depths. The “I” or “T” bars may be spaced to provide an “open” area for variation to fit the specification.
Product Applications
Our phenolic frp grating is extremely resistant to wear, heavy loads, corrosion and temperature extremes. You can install it on walkways, crossovers, work platforms and bridges. Phenolic grating works well in industries such as public buildings, public transportation, tunnels, mining, refineries and marine and ocean vessels.
What Is A USCG Test?
FRP gratings are not specified in each ship’s code. However, the resins commonly used to make these gratings are flammable and thermally sensitive; Therefore, the use of FRP gratings must be limited according to the following requirements.
These requirements do not intend to eliminate any other design standards or requirements related to the materials, structures or properties of FRP gratings under non-fire conditions.
Level 1 (L1) : The Frp grating meets the performance standard of L1, which can be used for escape route or fire fighting, emergency operation or rescue after being exposed to important hydrocarbon or cellulose fire accident. In addition, they are acceptable for the services and functions described at the L2 and L3 levels.
Level 2 (L2) : Frp bars that meet L2 performance standards are designed to meet open deck areas that may be assembled by the population, such as temporary safety shelters or lifeboat boarding areas. In addition, they are acceptable for the services and functions described at the L3 level.
Level 3 (L3) : Frp grating conforming to the L3 performance standards are designed to meet exit routes and any area fires that may require fire fighting, rescue or emergency operations during or shortly after exposure to transient hydrocarbons or cellulose.
