According to the size and installation requirements, the FRP grating should be cut and processed reasonably to obtain greater economic benefits without affecting the internal performance of FRP grating. The cut end needs to be coated with resin to ensure that its corrosion resistance is not affected.

Cutting

Straight-line cutting: FRP gratings can be cut on site using ceramic disc or emery disc cutting machine, even ordinary hacksaw blade.

Bending cutting, mesh opening, arc cutting and other arc cutting can be made using metal cutting blades, electric saws or hacksaws.

Drilling

You can use ordinary twist drills to drill holes over 12mm. Small holes can be drilled with portable electric hole processing machines or ordinary electric drills.

Polishing

Portable angle grinder, grinder, ordinary file and sandpaper can be used for polishing. Arbitrary cutting will not change the mechanical properties of the mesh, nor will it cause disintegration and other consequences.

Attention:

• Before cutting, the operator should wear protective glasses and masks to prevent objects from splashing into the eyes and reduce dust inhalation.

• Wear gloves and overalls.

• Choose a well-ventilated and bright place for cutting.

• Before cutting, check that all items and power tools are in good condition.
