How to choose three kinds of resins commonly used in the production of FRP gratings?

The FRP grating is a grid structure that has been produced on a custom metal mold by a special production process. Its design is strong, dimensional stability, two-way homogenous mechanical characteristics, can greatly reduce the basic support, easy to clean, water, detergent or soap powder can be washed.

The main raw materials for the production of FRP gratings include resin, fiberglass and filler powders. Each raw material includes different types. Below we focus on the common types of resins.

The grid has three common resin types: o-benzene, meta-benzene and vinyl. The price is directly proportional to the corrosion resistance, so the resin type should be selected according to the corrosive medium used in the environment.

A. O-benzene type resin: It has general corrosion resistance, can resist atmospheric aging, seawater corrosion, etc., long-term application temperature -50~60 °C, can withstand general acid-base corrosion ring…

B. Benzene type resin: It has good corrosion resistance, can withstand medium concentration of inorganic acid and alkali various salts, etc., long-term application temperature -50~90 °C, with excellent acid resistance, moderate alkali resistance and solvent .

C. Vinyl resin (for chemical industry): It has excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand harsh corrosion environments such as acid, alkali, salt, solvent, or acid-base replacement. The long-term operating temperature is -50~110°C, the price of the product.

The production process of FRP grating is a process of blending various raw materials according to a certain proportion. The ratio of raw materials in different proportions will also affect the performance of the grid. The commonly used ratio is resin, fiberglass fiber, The filler calcium powder is arranged in a ratio of 1:1:1, so that the surface of the FRP grating produced by the ratio is flat, and the strength of the grid can meet the requirements for use.
