3. Start cutting

Before installing the FRP grating board, we first need to cut the grid plate. According to the customer’s size requirements and installation requirements, the grid plate can be reasonably cut and processed for maximum economic benefit and does not affect the intrinsic performance of the grid plate. The cut surface needs to be coated with a resin to ensure that the corrosion resistance of the grid sheet after cutting is not affected.

4. Cutting method

Straight line cutting: FRP grating plates can be cut on site using ceramic disc or diamond disc cutters, and even ordinary steel saw blades can be used for cutting.

Curve cutting: Arc cutting such as opening and arc of grid plate can be cut by electric saw or hacksaw with metal cutting blade.

5. Drilling method

The machined hole can be drilled using a hand-held electric hole machining tool or a general hand drill; holes larger than 12 mm can be drilled with a conventional drill bit twist drill.

6. Grinding method

Grinding of FRP grating panels can be polished with hand-held angles to sanders, grinders, common trowels and sandpaper. Note: This material cannot be turned and tapped. Arbitrary cutting does not change the mechanical properties of the grid, and does not cause loose shelves and other consequences.

7. Safety measures when cutting

Before performing the grid plate cutting process, the operator should wear protective glasses and a mask to prevent foreign objects from splashing into the eyes and reduce dust inhalation;

Gloves and overalls should be worn to prevent dust from entering the skin and causing allergies;

Choose a well-ventilated, brightly lit place for cutting;

Check that all power tools are safe and secure before cutting.
